Daufuskie Island Historical Foundation
Since 2009, Spartina 449 has been a charitable supporter of the Daufuskie Island Historical Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to education, scientific discovery and charity for the purpose of preserving the cultural heritage of Daufuskie Island, South Carolina. The foundation has achieved numerous accomplishments, including the establishment of the Billie Burn Museum, the Gullah Learning Center, and most recently, the restoration of the famed "Midwife's Carriage", owned and operated by Island notable, Sarah Grant, from 1932 until 1969, whereby she assisted in the delivery of over 130 babies on Daufuskie.
In addition, Spartina 449 actively participates in our local community, as well as select special opportunities, by supporting numerous charities through silent auction donations and other fundraising events. Spartina 449 appreciates the support of our all of our customers, and believes giving back is a significant endeavor for our business.
